Closing the 17-Year legend of Post Today, I would like to thank for good opportunities that Post Today newspaper offered to me for sharing information to readers for over 5 years. Nearly 300 articles, I present various stories through the column "To Share" with the main 3 contents as follows
1. Issues on real estate business 2. Alternative energy or solar business, and 3. Ideas from reading various books or traveling abroad. When I experience something new, I will convey it to readers.
In other words, the advanced technologies change consumer behavior. It can be seen that Digital Disruption nowadays affects business operations at a certain level because consumer behavior has changed. Importantly, not only the print media business, but all businesses must also know how to adapt themselves to the upcoming technologies.
Like the real estate business for over the past 5 years since I had started writing articles in this column, I have seen changes of businesses every year. The world is changing and so does the business. It can be clearly seen that today the consumer behavior has been changed with various needs. Besides the location and distinctive design, technologies and innovations become the selling point nowadays to meet the needs of the new generations.
At the same time, over the years, it can be seen that businessmen in the market or many industries are not only Thai businessmen or big players, but there also are foreign big players who are interested in investment in Thailand, such as investors from China and Japan focusing on investment in Thailand in a form of joint venture with property development companies. Such investment of foreign investors can further expand the business of other manufacturing industries as well. They become a big player in Thailand that should be kept an eye on in the future.
Another interesting trend over a few years is the alternative energy or solar cells. On March 13, 2019, the Ministry of Energy held the meeting for the preparation based on the new 20-year Power Development Plan or PDP 2018, which requires the purchase of electricity from solar energy. This is good news for household electricity users who will have a chance to access alternative energy like solar energy in order to help reduce global warming and save electricity costs in the long run. In contrast, there are still a large number of people who have not accessed the source of information or have not had knowledge on solar panels. They do not know how worthwhileness it is if they install it. Therefore, the relevant agencies or persons having the knowledge should provide understanding and knowledge on this matter to the public as soon as possible.
In summary, with the changing trend of consumers, lifestyles have also changed. Businesses must adjust thinking processes and management methods again to keep up with the trend and respond to needs quickly. When businesses change directions and executives change their concepts, it is our duty to keep up with changes or improve new ideas to be suitable for consumers’ needs. I believe that the strongest or the smartest one will survive, but those who can adapt to changes will be able to stay in this world.
